SDS Systems

The SDS-72 Extraction Smoke Detection System is an advanced fire detection solution designed for the early identification of smoke in cargo holds, vehicle decks, and enclosed cargo spaces onboard marine vessels. The system continuously extracts air samples through existing CO₂ distribution piping and analyzes them for the presence of smoke, enabling rapid detection of fire hazards before they escalate into critical incidents.

System variants

The SDS Systems air sampling smoke detection solution is available in three distinct system variants engineered for different vessel layouts and piping requirements: 1. Variant A: Direct connection of air exhaust duct detectors without the need for an additional fire alarm panel. This configuration provides a simplified installation solution while maintaining reliable smoke detection performance. 2. Variant B: Designed to support large-diameter piping systems up to DN150, enabling simplified installation and efficient air sampling across larger cargo spaces. 3. Variant C: Optimized for vessels with passageways and shared CO₂ piping arrangements, allowing efficient utilization of existing infrastructure while maintaining effective smoke monitoring.
