PHRD Suppressor
The IEP Technologies PHRD Suppressor is a high-rate discharge suppressor designed for explosion suppression applications involving combustible dusts, gases, and solvent vapors. The suppressor rapidly discharges suppressant into protected process equipment during the early stages of an explosion, helping prevent dangerous pressure escalation and flame propagation.
Product description
The suppressor consists of a pressurized alloy steel container filled with suppressant powder and dry nitrogen. A hinged flap mechanism, controlled by dual non-explosive piston actuators, enables rapid suppressant release when triggered by the associated explosion protection control unit.
The PHRD Suppressor is suitable for industrial process protection systems and can be mounted vertically or with flanged elbow and spreader assemblies depending on installation requirements.
