
Isolation Valve
The IEP Technologies High Speed Isolation Valve is designed to provide rapid mechanical isolation within explosion protection systems. The valve operates within milliseconds to form a physical barrier in process pipelines, preventing flame and pressure propagation between interconnected industrial equipment.
Product description
The system is typically activated by an explosion detection signal processed through an IEP Technologies control unit. Upon activation, nitrogen from a high-rate discharge system drives a piston actuator, rapidly closing a full-bore stainless steel gate to isolate the process line.
The valve is suitable for use in explosion isolation applications across dust handling, gas, and vapor processing systems, where compliance with NFPA 68 and NFPA 654 guidelines is required.
