IsoDisc - Passive Isolation Device

The IEP Technologies™ is a passive explosion isolation device designed to prevent flame and pressure transmission between interconnected process equipment or to the environment. It is used in systems handling combustible dust, such as air aspiration inlets of mills and clean air ducting connected to dust-handling equipment.

Description

The IsoDisc™ operates without external actuation systems. During normal operation, the valve plate is held open by process airflow. In the event of a downstream explosion, the pressure wave forces the valve to close automatically, isolating the upstream process and limiting explosion propagation.

The device is certified as a protective system according to EN 15089 and EU Directive 2014/34/EU (ATEX). It is available with or without a housing and can be directly installed into piping systems.
