Direct Coupled Type

The Direct Coupled Type D-01 is a robust diaphragm seal designed to isolate the sensing element of pressure gauges and pressure switches from challenging process media. Its diaphragm-based construction protects the measuring instrument from corrosive, viscous, sediment-laden and high-temperature fluids while maintaining reliable pressure transmission. The D-01 features a compact two-piece construction with the diaphragm welded to the body, ensuring effective separation between the filling liquid and the process medium. With stainless-steel construction, multiple diaphragm and process connection options, and a wide operating pressure range, it is suitable for demanding industrial process applications.

Direct Coupled Configuration: The D-01 is designed for direct coupling between the diaphragm seal and the pressure instrument. This compact configuration is suitable where a remote mounting arrangement is not required. Welded Diaphragm: The diaphragm is welded to the body to maintain separation between the filling liquid and the process medium. This construction helps protect the pressure instrument from direct exposure to the process fluid. Stainless Steel Construction: The standard D-01 uses an AISI 316L stainless-steel diaphragm with AISI 316 stainless-steel top and bottom chambers. AISI 304 stainless steel is used for the nuts and bolts. Process Isolation: The diaphragm seal acts as a barrier between the process medium and the sensing element of connected pressure gauges or pressure switches. This makes it particularly useful for corrosive, viscous, sedimentous and high-temperature process media.

The D-01 has a standard pressure range extending from -1 kg/cm² to 400 kg/cm². The manufacturer's ordering information provides standard range selections of -1 to 0 kg/cm² and 0 to 70 kg/cm², with an additional range selection covering 100 to 400 kg/cm².

Silicon Oil DC 200 is specified as the standard filling liquid. Other filling liquids can be selected for different operating temperature requirements, including Flurolube, food-grade oil, Syltherm and other options.

Although the D-01 is a direct-coupled diaphragm seal, the manufacturer's configuration options also include remote mounting with a capillary of up to 15 metres. Capillary materials include AISI 304 and AISI 316 stainless steel, with optional armouring.

The D-01 provides an effective solution for protecting pressure gauges and pressure switches when direct exposure to the process medium could affect measurement reliability or damage the sensing element.
