AVM (Around View Solution) is a video monitoring solution for a ship’s surroundings. It enables the watch officer or pilot to remotely monitor the environment, including very close areas where both radar and AIS cannot reach, thus reducing their operational burden and the risk of missing something when navigating through narrow waterways or congested ports, or when berthing the vessel. With our high quality multi-camera image stitching and visual highlighting of nearby obstacles and hazards, the entire situation around the vessel can be seen instantly, which is critical for timely avoidance of potential collisions.

Feature Highlights

1. Surround View

AVM (AROUND VIEW SOLUTION) can monitor the widest area from the side wall to the horizon and even further into the sky. Multiple camera inputs are combined in real time and delivered as a single, immersive live view around the vessel. AVM (AROUND VIEW SOLUTION) ‘s unique ultra-wide-angle photography allows the user to see the entire world at a glance. The scene can also be viewed from any angle and zoom level with digital PTZ.

2. Visual Augmentation

In addition to the surround view, AVM (AROUND VIEW SOLUTION) supports collision avoidance by visualizing information about nearby objects on top of the surround view. Information provided includes the expected track of own vessel, the location and direction of nearby vessels, the location and type of buoys, and user-configurable distance grids and lines. This is achieved through a deep interface to navigation equipment including GPS, AIS, gyro, and speedometer.

3. Onboard Remote Access

AVM (AROUND VIEW SOLUTION) can be used not only locally from its own console, but also remotely from any device on the local network via a web interface. Remote access is not limited to a single user. It can be used to share the scene among multiple users in a collaborative operation. Users have control over this functionality, and it can be permanently or temporarily disabled at any time for increased security.

4. Realtime Distance Measures – Safey Berthing

AVM (AROUND VIEW SOLUTION) provides real time distance information when it is berthing or objects nearby during the sailing or entering ports.
